Lecture "Russia's transport architecture"
The first part of the cycle goes along with the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale", and deals with architectural typologies. From these lectures, one can follow a retrospective of the key architectural structures in Russia, which have shaped the country's image in various fields over the epochs, as well as to get acquainted with modern projects which create future here and now.
From conversations of an art critic Elizaveta Likhacheva with invited experts you will learn about how the Russian architecture developed; how the appearance of the places where Russian science, culture and art were born and live changed; how sports facilities became an integral part of the cultural and social space of the country, and industrial facilities became centres and monuments of industrial revolutions.
The lecture series "Symbols of Time" continues and will also expand to include discussions on visual art, sculpture, photography, fashion, and the role of the curator in contemporary culture.
