This series
of events offers a retrospective look at key architectural structures in Russia
that have shaped the country’s image through different eras and fields, as well
as introduces contemporary projects that are already building the future today.
In
discussions between art historian Yelizaveta Likhacheva and invited experts,
you will learn how Russian architecture has evolved, how the appearance of
places where national science, culture and art were born and continue to thrive
has changed, how sports facilities became an integral part of the country’s
cultural and social space, and how industrial sites turned into centres and
monuments of industrial revolutions.
Visitors to
the National Centre RUSSIA are also invited to attend the new events in the
series — the lecture "Business Russia" will take place on May 21, and
the lecture "Engineering Russia" will be held on May 23. Registration
