The National Centre RUSSIA invites you to the new Gastronomic Rows "Journey Across Russia. Food"
On March 1,
the Gastronomic Rows "Journey Across Russia. Food" opened at the
National Centre RUSSIA, becoming part of the large-scale "Journey Across
Russia" project.
The
Gastronomic Rows are divided into four thematic zones: "East,"
"North," "West," and "South." Each zone features
signature dishes of tourist regions, popular festival treats, traditional
national cuisine, and modern gastronomic interpretations. Visitors can take
part in tastings of regional products and cuisine, culinary master classes
"Learning Russia’s Culinary Language," and themed festivals.
Guests will
discover unique recipes passed down through generations. Among the gastronomic
highlights are Dagestani kurze, Kalmyk beregi, tala from nelma, Kamchatka-style
telnoye, and much more.
"Such
a gastronomic journey across the country is an opportunity to explore our
culture through different flavors. We invite guests to try black pelmeni with
venison, pancakes with cherries and cottage cheese topped with cloudberry
sauce, Pomor pomakukha, and Dagestani kurze. Importantly, many of these dishes
can be tasted here at the National Centre RUSSIA for the first time before
embarking on a journey across our regions," noted Yekaterina Shapovalova,
author of the "Gastronomic Map of Russia" project.
The
National Centre RUSSIA welcomes everyone to experience the diverse flavors of
Russia and discover the country’s rich gastronomic heritage.
The
Gastronomic Rows are part of the large-scale "Journey Across Russia"
project, which will open on March 5 and showcase the natural landmarks and
achievements of all federal districts of the country.
Applications can be submitted until June 4.
Thanks to the "Online Tours," users can take a virtual 360-degree walk through the pavilions of the RUSSIA EXPO.
In 2025, Global Exhibitions Day will be held under the motto "Speaking the Same Language."
