The National Centre RUSSIA and the Republican Unitary Enterprise "National Exhibition Centre BelExpo" of the Presidential Administrative Directorate of the Republic of Belarus are working on launching a joint tourist project "Weekend Routes."

The project development began after the signing of the Agreement on the Development of Tourism between the National Centre RUSSIA and the Republican Unitary Enterprise "National Exhibition Centre BelExpo" of the Presidential Administrative Directorate of the Republic of Belarus on January 25, 2025. The document outlines the parties' support for the development of the tourism potential between Russia and Belarus.

As the theme for the first weekend routes, lasting 2 or 3 days, the significant date of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was chosen. The first developed options for travelers have been named "ROUTES OF VICTORY." Participants in the tourist routes will have the opportunity to learn more about the heroic history of the two fraternal nations and be inspired by the achievements that unite us.

"We remember and honor the heroic deeds of our fraternal peoples. In anticipation of the 80th anniversary of Victory, we are launching tourist routes to places of military glory, which will take place both in Russia and Belarus," said the Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.

The basis of the tourist routes lies in short trips that can easily be completed during the weekend. The excursion-educational program is aimed at popularizing the tourist product and enhancing the attractiveness of the countries for travelers. The routes in Russia will cover Moscow and the Moscow region. The route in Belarus includes visits to Vitebsk, Minsk, and Brest. Tourists will have access to various variations for the first, second, and third days.

"’Routes of Victory’ is a project that not only symbolizes respect for the past but also highlights the significance of historical events and the importance of preserving their memory. This is a project that teaches new generations patriotism and inspires modern youth to perform heroic deeds for the prosperity of their country, for the great friendship of fraternal nations," noted the Director of the State Enterprise "BelExpo," Sergei Baran.

In Moscow, travelers will have the opportunity to visit the National Centre RUSSIA, take a sightseeing tour with a visit to the Moscow Cable Car, and explore the Kremlin, Red Square, and Alexandrovsky Garden, Zaryadye Park, the Museum of Victory, the Museum of Music, the Krasnogorsk branch of the Museum of Victory, the Arkhangelskoye Museum-Reserve, and many other attractions.

In Belarus, route options include visits to such memorable places as the Khatyn Memorial Complex, the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the historical and cultural complex "Stalin Line," the Brest Fortress Memorial Complex, the Mir Castle Complex, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha (Bialowieza Forest), and various excursion programs.

The programs for travelers will include transfers, the work of accredited guides, accommodation, meals, and much more. The development of these programs is now in its final stage, and registration for the first routes will soon be available for tourists.
