"True heroes of our country who advance Russia": Special Military Operation fighters at the RUSSIA EXPO
Participants
of the Special Military Operation visited the International RUSSIA EXPO. The
excursion was organized for 16 fighters who are undergoing rehabilitation in
hospitals in Moscow and the Moscow region. They were so impressed by what they
saw that now they want to show the expositions to their families.
The tour
group included fighters from different regions - Chelyabinsk, DPR and other
parts of our huge country. They visited the stands of their native regions, as
well as the expositions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Rosatom State
Corporation.
"I'll
be honest - if possible, I would gladly bring my children here. To show all
this beauty of the RUSSIA EXPO, the realistic and technological expositions,
the achievements of our scientists. These are the true heroes of our country,
who move Russia forward. Here once again you realize that Russia is a great
country. It is the best, fair and peace-loving, and not at all the kind of
country that is presented by various Western media", - said Yevgeny, a
participant of the SMO with the call sign Skif (Scythian).
According
to Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the
Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"», the organizers are ready to
conduct regular excursions for SMO participants.
"And
the Directorate will do everything to make the excursions comfortable, so that
everyone gets positive emotions and learns a lot of new things about our
country. So that they would be proud of the country - its achievements,
opportunities. Maybe some of them will find something useful for themselves,
maybe they will understand where they can realize themselves in a peaceful
life", - said Anastasia Zvyagina.
Many
military servicemen who are undergoing rehabilitation are in Moscow for the first
time. But for them the capital city was limited only to their hospital room.
Therefore, it was decided to conduct tours and show them the best museums.
State Duma deputy Ekaterina Stenyakina came up with such an idea when she
worked as a nurse at the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after
Academician N.N. Burdenko.
"We
are grateful to the Ministry of Defense for allowing us to do this. We found
transportation, sponsors, tour guides. And now every week soldiers from nine
hospitals in Moscow and the Moscow region together with us go on these
excursions", - she said.
It should
be reminded that the International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow. It
brings together expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal
departments, corporations and public organizations. It will last until April
12, 2024. Admission is free of charge for everyone.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
