Natalia Virtuozova presented the project of the Russia National Centre
Natalia
Virtuozova, Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO, presented the concept of the
eponymous National Centre, which will preserve the heritage of the Exposition
and expand its work in all areas in order to create conditions for the
harmonious development of citizens. The presentation took place on June 4
during the interactive session "Exposition Russia. Creating the
Future" timed to coincide with the Global Exhibitions Day.
When
preparing the centre's project, its authors studied the best practices of
creating public spaces and points of attraction - including relying on the rich
exposition tradition of our country, said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General
of the RUSSIA EXPO.
"The
Russia National Centre will become a place of dreams, pride, achievements,
future and every visitor will be able to contribute. This innovative platform
will be designed not only to demonstrate certain achievements - we are creating
a territory of dialogue and inspiration for new accomplishments in all areas of
life. Of course, we will pay great attention to supporting the most daring
dreams of children and young people - first of all, in terms of
self-realization," said Natalia Virtuozova.
Also,
during the interactive session the Director General told how the Exposition has
changed during seven months of work. According to her, all participants put a
lot of effort to create an exciting program.
"We
have an atmosphere of healthy competition at the Exposition. Everyone learns
from each other and tries to do as well as possible. This affects the number of
visitors - we have a growing flow of guests day after day. And this is all
thanks to the atmosphere of love, pride, admiration, the huge contribution of
each participant and visitor," said Natalia Virtuozova.
The order
to create the Russia National Centre in Moscow with branches in the regions was
given by President Vladimir Putin after a meeting with heads of municipalities,
which was held on January 16. According to the document, the centre will work
"in order to preserve the heritage of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to
demonstrate the achievements of the Russian Federation in various sectors of
the economy".
Participants
of the session "Exposition Russia. Creating the Future" discussed the
conditions for the development of congress and exposition activities, the human
resources potential of the industry and the impact of new technologies on it.
Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, President of the
Russian Union of Expositions and Fairs (RUEF), Sergei Voronkov, CEO of
ExpoForum-International, and Sagid Zaremukov, Director of the National Congress
Bureau, took part in the dialog.
Sagid
Zaremukov noted the constant work to modernize and develop the expositions and
stands of the RUSSIA EXPO.
"The
excellent decision of our President to extend the Exposition until July 8 has
given it another impetus in its development. We understand that expositions are
short-term construction, but as we see, the RUSSIA EXPO is standing, thriving
and bringing pleasure to everyone," said Sagid Zaremukov.
One of the
most important goals of congress and exposition activities is the establishment
of a communication environment, said Sergei Voronkov. According to him, the
RUSSIA EXPO is an event of global scale, which confirms the country's leading
role in this industry.
"Without
such a tool as congresses and expositions, we would not have rebuilt the
economy in a few years. Last year alone, one and a half thousand expositions
were held, where 55 million meetings took place - as a result, contracts worth
more than 17 trillion rubles were concluded. This is 10% of the country's
GDP," said Sergei Voronkov.
According
to Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, expositions and
congresses serve as drivers of regional economic development.
"According
to our calculations, at least 59 industries are involved in congress and
exposition activities. Expositions bring more and more to the regional economy
every year. At the same time, the communications and contacts that arise at
them are very important. They result in the conclusion of new contracts,"
emphasized Dmitry Ionin.
The
International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the country's most important achievements
in one place. Throughout the exposition, guests can enjoy cultural events and a
rich business and educational program. Expositions from 89 regions of Russia,
leading federal agencies, corporations, and public organizations are presented
to visitors. More than 14 million people have already visited the Exposition.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July
8.
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
The pitch sessions on four tracks took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on April 28, with the participation of authors whose essays were selected by the expert council of the National Centre.
