Natalia Virtuozova took part in the opening ceremony of the Kursk Korenskaya Fair — 2024
Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the International RUSSIA EXPO, took part in the opening ceremony of the XXIII Interregional Universal Wholesale and Retail Kursk Korenskaya Fair. She joined a video call with the region from its exposition in Pavilion No. 75.
"We are at one of the best and most beautiful expositions. I want to welcome the fair which presented itself at the Exposition on June 25 — and did so very successfully. I know that a lot of goods from regional producers were sold that day. It was also a success in the Department Store space. I wish prosperity to all the participants gathered at this traditional fair and congratulate them on its opening. We are looking forward to seeing the Kursk region at the Russia National Centre. President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin signed a decree on its opening on July 1, so everything is just beginning," said Natalia Virtuozova.
The year 2024 will mark the 200th anniversary of the Korenskaya Fair's international status, emphasized Alexei Smirnov, Acting Governor of Kursk region. At the same time, its history is more than 400 years. In this regard, the organizers decided to make it famous throughout the country — including presenting it at the Exposition.
"Thank you for your partnership, with the help of the Exposition we have opened a new platform for the Kursk Korenskaya Fair — not only in Moscow, but also in every region of Russia. I am sure that together we will be able to continue this endeavor and make the participation of Kursk enterprises in such events all year round," said Alexei Smirnov.
The Kursk Korenskaya Fair is an important economic and cultural event for the region. Its holding contributes to the creation of a favorable competitive environment, introduction of innovative technologies, saturation of the consumer market with diverse and high-quality goods, attraction of investments and, as a result, improvement of economic indicators of the regions participating in the Fair. This year the main fair events will be held on July 5-7 in the village of Svoboda, Zolotukhinsky district, as well as on July 5 at the site of Kursk State Agrarian University.
On the day of the Exposition presentation on June 25, a large-scale program was prepared for the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO. The visitors got acquainted with the thematic exposition "Nightingales and Iron" dedicated to the tourist route of the same name, took part in games, quizzes, presentations, masterclasses and prize drawings, gladly bought products of Kursk manufacturers with the logo of the 200th anniversary of the Kursk Korenskaya Fair and other goods.
As part of the cultural program, the Folk Amateur Art Collective Folklore Ensemble "Larets", folk song ensemble "Dubrovushka" and other artists performed for the guests, and the thematic day ended with a bright ethno-concert "Firebird" with the participation of the Governor Chamber Orchestra of Kursk region and folklore ensemble "Noon".
