Natalia Virtuozova spoke about the design of the facade of Pavilion No. 70 at VDNH
Natalia Virtuozova, director general of the Autonomous noncommercial organization «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"», told how the preparation for the International RUSSIA EXPO is going on. The looks of the legendary pavilion No. 70 will get a new life.
This pavilion is not an ordinary one. In 1967 in Montreal, Canada, it represented the Soviet Union at the World Exposition. At the end of the show, the pavilion was not just dismantled, but carefully transported back to Moscow. It took several ships to transport it across the ocean. In the capital, it was placed on the territory of the VDNH between the Northern Entrance and the sculpture "Worker and Kolkhoz Woman".
"Now a new life is coming for the pavilion. It is being decorated in the style of our exposition, and soon it will be illuminated to delight the residents and guests of the capital!" — noted Natalia Virtuozova, director general of the Autonomous noncommercial organization «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».
As a reminder, there are only 44 days left till the opening of the International RUSSIA EXPO. The exposition will be attended by 89 Russian regions, authorities, large corporations, public associations, as well as delegations of foreign countries. The guests will be offered a broad cultural, entertainment, business and educational program.
The performance of "The Proposal" served as a fitting echo of the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts", which took place at the National Centre earlier this month.
Toys created by family workshops, handcrafted wooden figurines and natural caramel — all these children's goods are brought together at the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA.
On 28 July, the exposition "Legacy. Theatre. The Greats" will commence at the National Centre RUSSIA, timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theatre Workers of our country.
