Gazprom Pavilion will hold scientific and educational excursions with scientists from May 26 to June 16
The "Power of Science" marathon will be held at the Gazprom Pavilion from May 26 to June 16. Guests of the RUSSIA EXPO will be able to attend scientific and educational excursions with scientists from Gazprom VNIIGAZ, the largest scientific center of the gas industry. The visitors will dive into the world of fascinating science, learn how the Russian gas industry is organized and take part in an interactive quiz. The excursions are free of charge. Registration is required to participate.
Each
excursion is dedicated to one of the areas of the Russian gas industry.
On May 26, the marathon participants will
learn interesting facts about the unique, world's largest gas transportation
system. Ilya Ryakhovskikh, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the
Corporate Scientific and Technical Center for Management of Technical Condition
and Integrity of Gazprom VNIIGAZ Production Facilities, will tell how gas is
transported and who controls this process.
On June 2,
Denis Neretin, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Corporate
Scientific and Technical Center for Environmental Safety and Energy Efficiency
of Gazprom VNIIGAZ and Konstantin Unanyan, Candidate of Geographical Sciences,
Head of the Geoecological Research and Environmental Monitoring Laboratory of
Gazprom VNIIGAZ will speak about natural gas, flora and fauna of Russia and
examples of preserving natural areas.
On June 9,
the RUSSIA EXPO visitors together with Dmitry Kopsha, Deputy Head of the Center
of the Corporate Scientific and Technical Center for Gas Preparation,
Liquefaction and Processing Technologies of Gazprom VNIIGAZ, will rediscover
the world around them and learn that everything around us is made of natural
gas — from phone screens to satellite dishes.
The
marathon will end on June 16. Stanislav Golubiny, Candidate of Technical
Sciences, Head of the Corporate Scientific and Technical Center for Offshore
Oil and Gas Resources Development of Gazprom VNIIGAZ, will show the visitors of
the pavilion how the Earth's interior looks like and tell them where and how
gas is produced.

The final session of the Open Dialogue "Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on the closing day, April 30.
