A joint Press Centre for major international summits opens at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 26 October, the joint International Press Centre for the Eighth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and the Third Russia–Africa Summit opened in Moscow. The International Press Centre is based at the National Centre RUSSIA, a unique exposition space established pursuant to an Executive Order issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin on 1 July 2024.
The International Press Centre will operate around the clock from 26 to 30 October inclusive. All accredited media representatives who have collected their badges from the accreditation centre, also located at the National Centre RUSSIA, will be able to use its facilities. Around 1,700 media representatives from 70 countries, including Russia, have already been accredited for the summits.
The International Press Centre houses an International Broadcasting Centre and dedicated indoor stand-up positions. The open events available to the media are being broadcast by the host broadcaster, VGTRK, while photography is handled by the official photo host agency. Photographs will be made available promptly through the official media bank for the Eighth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum and the Third Russia–Africa Summit. Journalists will be able to download any photograph in high resolution free of charge.
The International Press Centre also has a 100-seat hall for briefings and press conferences.
All visitors to the International Press Centre will be able to explore the interactive "Journey Across Russia" exposition, which showcases the key achievements, innovative developments, and cultural, natural and historical landmarks of all federal districts of the Russian Federation.
The podcast takes viewers back to a time when there were no laws or states — nothing to tell people how to live.
The new National Centre RUSSIA venue is scheduled to open in 2029, with the landscaped park due to open in 2030.
From 26 to 30 October, the National Centre RUSSIA will suspend its regular operations. It will be closed to visitors, and scheduled events will not be held during this period.
