Not "Google, " but "Chat": AI development forecast was discussed at the National Centre RUSSIA
Artificial intelligence, the integration of digital assistants, and other technologies aimed at solving routine and everyday tasks were discussed at the National Centre RUSSIA. The discussion was held within the framework of the Russian association for electronic communications summit. Experts participating in the event included Sergei Gridchin, Head of Buyer Experience at CIAN; Filipp Panfilov, Head of AI Projects at "Yandex Browser"; Oleg Korolev, Head of AI Lab Development at Avito; Nikolai Trzhaskal, Director of AI Products at SL Soft and Research Fellow at the MGIMO AI Centre; Evgeny Tyrnov, Founder of Decart IT-Outstaffing and Co-Founder of Huntlee; and Alexei Gonnochenko, Senior Managing Director of the Sber robotics Centre.
According
to experts, users today are radically changing the way they interact with
information. More and more often, queries are directed not to search engines
but to AI-powered chats, various bots, or specific applications, such as
marketplaces. Major digital companies are forced to respond to this shift by
integrating digital assistants into their platforms. Other factors driving AI
adoption include its successful implementation in real-world applications (such
as business) and a steady trend toward hyper-personalization of requests.
Increasingly, user tasks are narrowing down to a specific set of requirements
(whether it’s generating text based on key points or finding an apartment in a
particular area with the necessary renovations).
Interacting
with AI helps shorten the path to a goal and provides personalized responses to
various requests, explained Sergei Gridchin, Head of Buyer Experience at CIAN.
"We
are all already having to implement AI tools due to changing consumption
patterns. However, these assistants complement rather than replace the main
path. It is essential to integrate products into popular AI tools and support
innovations in AI-related operating systems. The trend of interacting with
artificial intelligence will continue to grow," noted Sergei Gridchin.
As Oleg
Korolev, Head of AI Lab Development at Avito, confirmed, traditional search
engine queries are becoming a thing of the past.
"Younger
generations are googling less and less — users now go directly to marketplaces
to search, and this trend will continue to grow. Traditional search engines are
gradually fading away. Instead, one can enter a chat with artificial
intelligence, ask a question, and even request a discussion," said Oleg
Korolev.
Among the
challenges of integrating digital assistants, experts highlighted their
inaccuracy, the frequency of non-specific queries and user demands, as well as
the novelty of such tools. For example, "Yandex" currently offers
several assistants, but most users primarily choose AI for text generation.
Specialists
believe that in the future, the implementation of AI technologies will further
enhance urban autonomy — such as taxis, delivery services, and more.
Additionally, digital assistants will help personalize the urban environment
for individuals, whether in real estate searches, job hunting, or even route
planning.
Nikolai
Trzhaskal spoke about how the evolution from a digital economy to a data
economy and ultimately to a knowledge economy inevitably leads to the
transformation of work processes and the labor market itself.
"The
employee of tomorrow will not have to struggle with reducing the
'hallucinations' of generative language models, as their work partner will be
AI from a white-box system — a set of tools that meet transparency and
explainability criteria. AI will not replace humans and their natural
intelligence, but in the coming years, it will evolve from an assistant to a
full-fledged partner, working as part of a team and contributing to
decision-making, designing complex systems, and developing products," said
Nikolai Trzhaskal.
Please note
that the second floor of the National Centre RUSSIA will be temporarily unavailable to visitors due to the exhibition changeover. However, cultural,
educational, and business programs will continue. All up-to-date information on
event dates and locations can be found on the website in the "Events"
section. Starting in February, the "Hall of Inventions" and
"Legacy for the Future" expositions will conclude. In March, after
installation and updates, the National Centre will open two new expositions: an
architectural one and "Journey Across Russia."
