Oil in the palm of your hand and a route through Yugra: "Inventing the Future" Open Lecture Hall launched in Khanty-Mansiysk
Creative workshops and a multimedia exposition about the region's future opened the "Inventing the Future" Open Lecture Hall at the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra. Before the main programme began, guests could try creative activities, plan a travel itinerary and learn more about the culture of the indigenous peoples of the North.
"Creative workshops are very useful for developing creative thinking. Through creativity and creative thinking, the younger generation develops communication skills and abilities that will help them fulfil their potential in the future," noted Guzel Nigmatullina, a visitor to the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra.
Participants painted ceramic oil droplets, creating small symbols of the region. Nearby, guests used graphic markers to illustrate their own visions of tomorrow. Travel enthusiasts planned routes through Yugra and took home ready-made itineraries. A separate area was devoted to the culture of the indigenous peoples of the North. The Subsoil Use Centre offered an unusual experience: making a handprint with oil, literally touching "black gold".
Rezeda Vetchinnina, who had travelled from Izhevsk with her children, attended the workshops. The family made a special visit to the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra and enjoyed joining in the activities.
"Amazing, interesting, engaging and educational. For children, it is an excellent opportunity to discover how many different peoples and cultures there are in our country," Rezeda shared.
The multimedia exposition "Yugra of the Future" provided a visual backdrop to the Open Lecture Hall, bringing together scenarios for the region's development. AI-generated images greeted guests at the entrance and set the tone for a discussion about the future.
The workshops opened Yugra's first "Inventing the Future" Open Lecture Hall, held to mark the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. This format helps explore the region's future not only through talks on stage, but also through creativity and each guest's personal experience.
