From 14 to 15 August, the National Centre RUSSIA became one of the country’s main media platforms, hosting the final of the All-Russian contest of the Movement of the First, "MediaAttraction". Young media enthusiasts shared their impressions of taking part in the project and spoke about the importance of such events.

"The atmosphere here is incredibly energising — the participants are truly passionate about creating, filming, and winning, so 'MediaAttraction' is, without exaggeration, the best contest for young media professionals in Russia. The meetings in an open dialogue format are of particular value, when participants can speak directly with professionals and get answers to the most pressing questions," said counsellor and project participant Arslan Kurbanov.

According to Arslan, a modern media professional is, above all, a proactive and creative person, ready to work in any conditions. "But most importantly, they must be a patriot. It is exactly these kinds of people who have gathered here, at the National Centre RUSSIA," he emphasised.

Contest participant Daria Vladimirova noted the practical value of the knowledge gained.

"They told us not only about the secrets of creating quality content, but also, for example, about cyber security — how to recognise fraudsters, where to turn in case of cyberbullying. These skills are important for every modern person and, in particular, for a media professional, who must be not only active and friendly, but also very attentive," Daria believes.

Another participant, Viktoria Rogova, highlighted the richness of the programme.

"So many workshops! The advice that stuck with me most was to keep separate accounts for personal life and public activities. Now I can share this life hack with my friends," Viktoria said.

She also recalled the meeting with Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First and Hero of the Russian Federation, Artur Orlov. "He showed that media is not just a tool, but an opportunity to change the world for the better, and reminded us that a modern media professional should be open, proactive and, most importantly, responsible," Viktoria added.

The flagship project of the Movement of the First, "MediaAttraction", is an important part of the country’s educational and media ecosystem. The programme gives every school student, university student, teacher, or parent the opportunity to join a vibrant professional community and realise their potential through workshops, creative tasks, excursions to media holdings and leading media outlets, and communication with media professionals.
