Infrastructure menu and construction records: Construction Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
The Construction Day was held at the International RUSSIA EXPO, during the event industry experts spoke about the achievements and plans of the sector. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Minister Alexander Lomakin and Deputy Minister Nikita Stasishin.
Alexander Lomakin, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, noted the successes of the construction industry presented at the RUSSIA EXPO: "Today the entire Exposition shows the achievements of the construction industry from the regions to the whole country. For several years, records have been set for housing and transportation construction, which contributes to the integrated socio-economic development of territories".
He noted that the construction of new areas fully reveals the urban planning potential, where not only the comfort level of citizens is increased, but also jobs, social infrastructure and cultural facilities appear.
Also, speaking about the impact of the key rate on construction, the deputy minister said: "We realize that the construction industry is not only connected to investors, but also to people who invest in the construction of high-rise residential buildings. Since it is closely related to the key rate and interest conditions offered by banks, we are working with the financial government of the country to optimize these conditions and not to reduce the quantity and quality of housing that are provided to people."
Alexander Lomakin also paid attention to infrastructure bonds as a tool to attract financing for long-term infrastructure development projects. He noted that in this matter the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Treasury jointly control the implementation of projects that are announced by the regions within the framework of the Infrastructure Menu project.
Nikita Stasishin, in turn, spoke about mortgage. Today there are several types of support for citizens, including family, Far East, IT and preferential mortgages. From the July 1, 2024, the terms of mortgage lending should be even more targeted and aimed at improving demography in our country.
"From the standpoint of differentiating citizens, it is necessary to be tied not to the rate, but to the main task -- improving demography. The rate may vary depending on the area of apartments and the targeting of programs, but so far we are not discussing these parameters with the expert community, colleagues in the government and the Central Bank," concluded Nikita Stasishin.
According to him, today the Ministry of Construction aims at two national objectives: to increase the volume of housing construction and to improve the living conditions of 5 million citizens annually. At the end of 2023, record figures were noted for these goals. "At the end of last year 110 million square meters of residential real estate were commissioned and about 4 million families improved their housing conditions in Russia," cited the statistics deputy head of the department.
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
The pitch sessions on four tracks took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on April 28, with the participation of authors whose essays were selected by the expert council of the National Centre.
