New trains, airplanes and a Dry Port: Sverdlovsk region talks about its achievements
The Sverdlovsk region presented its achievements at the RUSSIA EXPO. The region told about the fully Russian electric train Lastochka, the production of air transport, as well as presented food specialties and much more.
Representatives of the region told that the Sverdlovsk enterprise Ural Locomotives presented a modern electric train Lastochka in 2023. It is assembled entirely from Russian components and is designed for urban, suburban and interregional transportation.
In addition, the Ural Civil Aviation Plant will launch production of the Baikal multi-purpose airplane instead of the outdated AN-2 as early as 2025. The new model will become the foundation of small and medium-haul aviation in Russia.
Special attention is paid to the Dry Port megaproject, which will connect the Northern Sea Route with Western China and the Caspian Sea.
"Undoubtedly, the Dry Port is a strategically important project not only for our region, but also for the whole country, because today the Trans-Siberian Railway is heavily loaded and the question of how to export cargo is pressing, so the creation of new transport corridors is a huge priority" — said Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev.
A masterclass on cooking appetizing local dishes from the Ural chef Sergey Miroshnikov was prepared for the guests of the Day of the Sverdlovsk Region. Meanwhile, at the XIII Urals Media Forum, experts discussed the use of artificial intelligence in journalism and current trends in media consumption.
From 17 to 21 May, the National Centre RUSSIA will present its flagship project, Department Store RUSSIA, at the 10th Russia-China EXPO in Harbin for the first time.
Preserving the writer’s creative legacy is also an important part of the mission of the National Centre RUSSIA.
On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, the National Centre RUSSIA will once again become a place where new families are born.
