More than 120 thousand people from all over the country celebrated the New Year at the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH
More than
120 thousand people attended the New Year's events on December 31 at the
International RUSSIA EXPO. For them the chimes struck 11 times - according to
the number of time zones of our huge country. The guests of the Exposition were
residents of all 89 regions of Russia, including participants of the Special
Military Operation and their families. Many of them had planned their trip to
the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH in advance.
People of
different professions, families with many children and families of the SMO
participants, volunteers and guests of the capital gathered at the Main Street
Stage of the Exposition. Celebrating the New Year with each of the 11 time
zones of Russia, one thing was felt - as long as we are together, we can
overcome any difficulties.
Earlier,
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2024 the Year of the Family. And the
New Year's Eve program was developed specifically for families - processions of
Ded Morozes and various contests were organized near the Main Street Stage of
the Exposition.
The guests
of the Exposition visited the pavilions where the achievements of the regions
and all sectors of our country were presented. An interactive program for
families with children - the main guests of the Exposition - was running on the
territory of VDNH.
They were
greeted by their favorite fairy tale characters - Snegurochka, Yemelya on the
stove, Nutcracker, Morozko and other characters. A New Year matinee for the
whole family was held in Pavilion E World of Digit, and in Novo-Prostokvashino
the residence of Ded Moroz was opened and a series of daily masterclasses on
baking Christmas bread started.
Also, words
of gratitude to our Heroes were heard from the stage: to participants of the SMO defending our
country, volunteers and doctors who selflessly work side by side with the Armed
Forces. Throughout the New Year program, the visitors of the Exposition were
assisted by volunteers.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered together on one platform. Throughout the entire period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors.
More than 3.5 million people have already visited the RUSSIA EXPO in the first two months of its operation.
Performances of "Soldiers’ Dreams", timed to coincide with the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, were held at the National Centre RUSSIA.
Ahead of the 9 May holiday — Victory Day — Vasily Shcherbakov and Larisa Denisenko from the Donetsk People’s Republic submitted a marriage registration.
Popular performer Khabib took part in the "Memory Wall" campaign at the National Centre RUSSIA and spoke about his great-grandfather Khabibrakhman Fazliakhmadov.
