New university campus, Seaside Ring and tourist cluster — Kaliningrad Region Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov presented five projects-beacons of the territory’s development in the following areas: new economy, agricultural complex, healthcare, tourism and ecology.
"The Kaliningrad region is considered one of the most comfortable and attractive for life regions of Russia. This is the merit of many of its residents, their labor and knowledge. And thanks to the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, vital decisions for the development of our territory are being implemented: its energy and transport security is ensured, schools, roadways, a modern university neo-campus Kantiana, branches of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Bolshoi Theater, and many other facilities are being built", — said Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov.
Thanks to presidential national projects, more than 900 kilometers of roads have been repaired in the region since 2019. The Seaside Ring of the Kaliningrad region with a length of 200 km is being built at an accelerated pace. The road will unite exits to strategic transportation hubs: Khrabrovo Airport, Baltiysk ports, sea resorts and international transportation routes.
On the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, a network of university campuses is being built on the basis of the Kant Baltic Federal University. This is almost 110 thousand square meters of space: two dormitories for 2.5 thousand beds, a conference complex and a complex for public events.
In the village of Yantarny a year-round resort White Dune is being created — business and creative clusters will work here, which will form new points of economic growth.
The famous writer Evgeny Grishkovets, a resident of the region, will tell the guests of the exposition about how the Kaliningrad region lives and why it is worth going there. The participants of the exposition will also have an opportunity to talk to Natalia Ishchenko, five-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming.
