"Very cool": skier Yelena Välbe about the pavilions of the RUSSIA EXPO
The International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH was visited by Soviet and Russian skier, president of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation Yelena Välbe. According to the sportswoman, the scale of the event is impressive and makes one proud.
The athlete believes that here people can plan travel routes around the country, thanks to the visual stands of the regions.
"Before this, I watched the Exposition coverage on TV and thought that what was happening might be slightly exaggerated. But it wasn’t. It’s very cool — I’m proud of the country, there’s much to see", — said Yelena Välbe.
At the exposition the guests were shown the movie «White Snow», which is dedicated to Välbe’s triumphant victory at the World Skiing Championships in 1997.
At that time, the Russian athlete managed to win gold medals in all five races. She believes that this picture is a cautionary tale for the younger generation.
