The award ceremony of the IV National Television Award "High Five!" took place on May 23 in the Large Concert Hall of the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH. Children from 8 to 18 years old chose their favorite stars in eight nominations.

On the red carpet of the award teenagers met their idols with enthusiastic squeals, as Olga Buzova, Evgeniya Medvedeva, Khabib, Vanya Dmitrienko, MIA BOYKA, Valya Karnaval, Milana Nekrasova, Arseniy Borodin, Rasa, Rodion Gazmanov, Akmal, Galibri & Mavik, Misha Marvin, Karina Nigai, Vyacheslav Makarov, Natalia Medvedeva and many others passed in front of them.

An unexpected and very spectacular decision of the organizers was the display of childhood photos of the performing stars on the big screen. Even the artists themselves looked at their old photos with great interest and commented on them.

"I was a princess in childhood, — said Olga Buzova. — I was a very obedient child, daddy's daughter, because my mom brought me up much stricter than my dad. I practically had no childhood, from the age of three I was engaged in English, in five I already went to school, in addition, I was engaged in everything that can be: sports, and chess, and aikido. But now I am very grateful to my parents for all of this."

This year, for the first time in the history of the award, children themselves competed for victory and the opportunity to perform on the same stage with their idols in three special nominations. The winner in the "High Five! Talk" nomination was Anna Malysheva from Kuznetsk, Penza region, who co-hosted the red carpet with the famous TV presenter Artem Shalimov. The winner in the nomination "High Five! Sing" Elina Salikhova from Ulyanovsk brilliantly performed her number on the big stage, and the winner in the nomination "High Five! Be a Fashion Designer" Maxim Vidilin from Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk region, probably got the biggest prize — his sketch was used to create a dress for Olga Buzova herself, and the star appeared in it on stage. The sounds of the song "Dance to Buzova" lifted the whole hall from its chairs and turned it into a huge dance floor.

"I really regret that last year, because of my touring schedule, I could not personally receive the award when I became the winner in the sports category — shared the famous figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva. — Because I can see how incredible the atmosphere is here in the hall". At this time the screen showed a picture of little Zhenya at the age of 3-4 years old. "From about the age as in this photo I have already started to do figure skating, — explained the athlete. — At the age of four I already had my first competition. I had other hobbies, but sport, competitions and ice did not let me go. And if someone from the audience is waiting for the secret of success from me, there is none. You just have to work very hard. If you have a dream, then by all means go for it. Don't be afraid of your desires, because they tend to come true".

Lively dances in the hall continued till the end of the ceremony, and how could teenagers stop dancing, if "Berry — Raspberry" by Habib, "Venus-Jupiter" by Vanya Dmitrienko, "Butterflies" by Mia Boyko, "Ditty" by Valya Karnaval, "Let's Rock" by RASA duet and other hits were played on the stage.

"Children and teenagers are the most sincere audience. — said the general producer of the "High Five!" award Lina Arifulina. — It is impossible to deceive them. They either like it or they don't. And today's stars can absolutely consider themselves idols of youth, because more than three million teenagers voted for them, it's a huge audience. And for us as organizers it is very important that the award has garnered such a huge response. Every year our project becomes bigger and bigger".

The most touching moment of the ceremony was the last nomination "My idol", where children themselves had to choose the person who, in their opinion, had the greatest influence on them, the person they look up to. And more than a third of the voters wrote that such people were their parents.
