On the Day of the Orenburg Region at the RUSSIA EXPO, guests witnessed a new record - the region's craftswomen knitted the largest down flag of Russia measuring 6x9 meters.

One can see not only world-famous down shawls, but also ancient Sarmatian jewelry at the Exposition.

In the food hall, chefs from the best Orenburg restaurants treated everyone with pickled watermelons, pumpkin jelly and vegetable breads made of cereals - rawks.

At the stand of the Orenburg region visitors could learn more about the work of the Eurasian Center for Pediatric Medicine, which was opened in November 2023 by President Vladimir Putin. The center is designed to serve more than 100 thousand small patients a year and can receive residents not only from the Orenburg region, but also from other regions.

Tourist and cultural infrastructure is also developing in the region: the Rostropovich Family House-Museum, which is the only one in Russia, the Valentina and Yuri Gagarin Museum, the Petiny Museum of Sculpture, and the Yuri Gagarin Museum have been established here. People from all over the country and abroad every year come to Sol-Iletsk lakes for sanatorium-resort treatment and recreation. The salt content in the main lake is higher than in the Dead Sea: there is no vegetation in it and it is impossible to drown there. The region is also home to Russia's only reserve for the semi-wild habitat of the red-listed Przewalski's horses.

Commenting on the development of the territory, Governor of the Orenburg region Denis Pasler said that 12 national and 47 regional projects are being implemented in the region, covering all spheres of life of Orenburg residents.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin has clearly set a goal for us - to create comfortable conditions for the life and development of every citizen. National and regional projects allow us to fulfill these tasks. For the last four years we have been leaders in the implementation of national projects", — said Denis Pasler.

More than 90 investment projects are being implemented here: one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, two factories for kaolin enrichment, pipe-rolling production are under construction. Investors are also attracted by the special economic zone - 13 residents have moved in here. Energy needs are covered by renewable sources - 18 solar power plants with a total capacity of 370 MW have been built here. The Orenburg region has become the country's leader in solar energy.

Denis Pasler noted that thanks to the exposition regions can exchange experience, and residents get an opportunity to learn more about the regions and plan trips.

"It is difficult to travel around the whole country, and I have not visited all the places yet. And by coming here, to the Exposition, you can learn a lot of interesting and new things... Everyone who wishes, especially guests of our country, young people, those who work in their regions their entire lives, can see the whole country through this Exposition, and it is a great idea in general", — the head of the region pointed out.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
