From Italy to the Arctic: a gastronomic journey at the Farmers Fair
Wild northern fish, sausages with truffle, author's aged cheese and ryazhenka from the Russian oven. A real variety of tastes from all over the country awaits the guests of Pavilion 48. You can taste the products for free and buy what you like the most.
This week, from February 20 to 25, an incredible variety of dairy products awaits visitors of the Farmers Fair. Its true pride will be cheeses: aged and hard, young and soft, from cow, sheep and goat milk.
Be sure to try cheeses from the cheese factory from the Tambov region - it is located in one of the most ecologically clean regions of the country, which positively affects the taste and quality of the product. To achieve perfection, the cheesemakers spent several years studying the experience of their colleagues in Italy. Therefore, all products will satisfy even the pickiest cheese gourmet.
No less interesting is the brand from the Kursk region, which specializes in goat cheeses: Camembert, Chevre, feta, caciotta with various additives, author's aged and ricotta. To get the perfect milk with a fine flavor, they had to breed Nubian goats with local aborigines.
Fans of Adygean cheeses will not be disappointed. At the fair it will be possible to try all favorite varieties: suluguni, chechil, brynza, as well as cheeses with Caucasian spices. But the Ryazan region will present its unique dairy products in addition to cheeses. The assortment includes ryazhenka from the Russian oven, kefir on natural kefir fungi, a large number of cottage cheese and other sour-milk products.
Connoisseurs of fish should definitely try products from the Krasnoyarsk region. There on the Taymyr Peninsula there is a community of indigenous Mukustur peoples, whose main activity is hunting and fishing. Wild fish of northern species are caught on the territory of the peninsula, as well as in the areas of the Yenisei Bay of the Arctic Ocean. Fish is processed and smoked naturally on alder sawdust especially for fairs and festivals. Come to us for chir, muksun, omul, sockeye salmon and whitefish.
And of course, the choice would not be complete without meat products. It will be presented by Kurgan meat processing plant. Here canned goods and sausages are prepared without preservatives and artificial coloring agents, high quality meat raw materials are used. The brand from the Leningrad region will also present its premium class jerky products. The peculiarity of these sausages is that the meat undergoes a natural ripening process. Be sure to pay attention to the brand's hits: salami with truffle, spicy raw sausage with spicy paprika and venison salami.
We would like to remind you that a free shuttle to the Farmers Fair has been launched for the convenience of the guests. The shuttle departs from the North Entrance Arch (Pavilion No. 75) up to Pavilion No. 48. Schedule: 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 20:00. Traffic interval: 15-20 min.
