The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 will begin on June 18 with a sense-centered session "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth," organized by the National Centre RUSSIA. It will be moderated by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

Maxim Oreshkin will voice the main challenges and priorities of the World's majority countries, which are becoming the architecture of a new global order. This discussion will open the official business block of the forum and will become a platform for delivering a report on the results of the Open Dialogue initiated by Russia in the spring of 2025.

The issues raised during this strategic session will become cross-cutting — they will be discussed through the key events of the SPIEF, including discussions of the transformation of markets, technology, employment and human capital.

The report on the results of the Open Dialogue was prepared by the partner of the National Centre RUSSIA — the Center for Industry Expertise "Third Rome". The document contains an analytical overview of global trends, which were formed by experts and participants of the Open Dialogue from more than 100 countries. The report includes materials from the authors of the essays written for an open Dialogue in four areas: investing in people, technology, connectivity, and the environment.

"The world is changing, and the countries of the world's majority are becoming a new driving force for global growth. To keep up with the challenges of the 21st century, they need their own platform — fair, open, and human-centered. Russia initiated the Open Dialogue as the first step towards its creation, and the response showed that the need for a new model is mature, vibrant and unifying," Maxim Oreshkin said.

The discussion of trends in the global economy during the session "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth" at SPIEF 2025 will be joined by the authors of the Open Dialogue essay and invited experts: Juan Antonio de Castro de Arespacochaga, Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), Francois Ndengwe, Chairman of the African Advisory Council (Cameroon), Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors of the Group EFCO Companies (Russia) Sergey Ivanov, CEO of Tanssi Foundation (Brazil) Thiago Rudiger, Economist (Canada) Joseph Potvin, Elizaveta Romanova, a student of RSSU (Russia), member of the Supervisory Board of Azersun Holding (Azerbaijan) Naila Mehrabova, Chief Executive Officer of DP World Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, representative of Yandex (Russia) Tigran Khudaverdyan, CEO of Transport of the Future LLC (Russia) Yuri Kozarenko, Regional Adviser on Population and Development of the United Nations Population Fund Eduard Mikhalas, entrepreneur and initiator of the construction of Dobrograd (Russia) Vladimir Sedov, as well as Chairman of the Board of the NTI Foundation, Dmitry Peskov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Digital and Technological Development.

The broadcast of the session "Shaping a new platform for Global Growth" will be available on the website of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA.
