"Living Christmas Windows": a musical program on January 7 at the National Centre RUSSIA
01.05.2025

On January 7, at the National Centre RUSSIA, visitors will witness the magical transformation of Christmas windows — ornaments and tea houses, satin ribbons and elegant dolls, boxes of cookies, a samovar with bagels, and much more will come to life before their eyes. Artists from various musical genres will guide the audience through the tale of one Christmas night.

Guests of the musical program will enjoy pieces by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, carols performed by a Russian folk choir, world opera hits mixed with beatboxing, classical arias, and Soviet songs performed by soloists of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres.

The performers include Bolshoi Theatre soloists Agunda Kulaeva and Ksenia Dezhneva, Mariinsky Theatre soloists Alexander Trofimov, Andrei Serov, and Natalia Pavlova, as well as European champion, eight-time Russian champion, and world vice-champion in beatboxing, Vakhtang.

The program will be divided into three thematic segments, each featuring a choir and orchestra. The performance will be led by two conductors: Merited Artist of Russia Pavel Sorokin and Italian conductor Fabio Mastrangelo.
