The one millionth guest visited the ATOM Pavilion
The
millionth guest of the ATOM Pavilion at VDNH was Seraphim Anokhin, an 11th
grade student of Moscow School No. 179. The young man shared that he came here
for the first time.
Seraphim
received gifts from the Pavilion: a certificate for an individual tour of ATOM
and an individual masterclass, as well as "atomic" souvenirs.
"Thank
you so much for such a surprise, I didn't expect it. I have just participated
in the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in astronomy,
which was held nearby, in "Space". Now I am thinking about where to
enroll, I am considering Moscow State University, MEPhI and MIPT. I am
interested in physics, astronomy and linguistics," said the millionth
visitor.
The ATOM
Pavilion opened at VDNH on November 4, 2023 - simultaneously with the start of
the International RUSSIA EXPO. During this time, the exposition complex, built
with the participation of Rosatom State Corporation, has become one of the most
popular locations at VDNH.
During the
five months of its operation, the pavilion has been visited by Russian
President Vladimir Putin, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential
Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko, Deputy Prime Ministers Alexander Novak,
Victoria Abramchenko, Marat Khusnullin, Dmitry Chernyshenko and Yuri Trutnev,
Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Construction,
Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin, Minister of Development of the Far East
and the Arctic Oleg Chekunkov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment
Alexander Kozlov and Minister of Digital Economy Yuri Trutnev.
The
Pavilion was also visited by the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, 12 governors
of different Russian regions, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzada,
ambassadors of Japan, Brazil, Philippines and Tunisia, more than 100
representatives of Rosatom State Corporation's foreign partners from India,
Egypt, Turkey and Bolivia.
Over five months, the Pavilion hosted more than five thousand excursions attended by 88 thousand people. At the same time, the greatest interest among the guests is attracted by the exposition "Modern Nuclear Industry", especially the topics related to nuclear medicine and icebreakers.
The ATOM Pavilion regularly serves as a platform for educational and business events of various formats. Since its opening, the Pavilion has hosted 121 lectures by leading Russian scientists and experts, attended by more than five and a half thousand people. In addition, the Pavilion hosts masterclasses, quizzes, and classes for visitors of different ages and families with children.
