A song on the front line: the National Centre RUSSIA to discuss how art becomes a weapon of victory
The open dialogue "How Does Art Help to Win?!" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 11. The discussion will focus on the role of art in times of military conflict. Guests will meet performers who appear in combat zones and use their art to inspire soldiers to victory.
The conversation will explore the importance of the mission undertaken by Soviet musicians during the Great Patriotic War and how, to this day, art continues to support soldiers and officers by strengthening their fighting spirit.
Participants will include Dmitry Volkov, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Mari El, Candidate of Art History, Mosconcert performer and head of the gusli ensemble Kupina; Yelizaveta Melnichenko, winner of international and all-Russian competitions, Mosconcert performer as part of Kupina, blogger and author of educational gusli courses; Irina Sukhanova, Honoured Cultural Figure of Moscow, Mosconcert soloist, leading actress of the Moscow State Musical Theatre "Na Basmannoy", and veteran of the special military operation.
The event will be moderated by Dmitry Kukushkin — Mosconcert performer, Artistic Director of the Lyubov Zhuk Centre for the Development of Gusli Art, and member of the cultural outreach brigade.

Participants shared stories about the traditions and memorable places of their Motherland with compatriots and peers from abroad.
International guests from all over the world visit the National Centre RUSSIA as part of major international events.
Gastronomic show will take place on June 12 in the Gastronomic Rows of the National Centre RUSSIA in celebration of Russia Day.
