The winners of the "More than a Trip" Award were honored at the RUSSIA EXPO
The results
of the First All-Russian Youth Tourism Development Award "More than a
Trip" were summarized at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The names of the
winners of the industry award from the program of Rosmolodezh "More than a
Trip" which is unique for our country were announced in a solemn
atmosphere in the "Home of Youth" at VDNH. The creators of the
brightest projects will become ambassadors of the program, will receive
information support and will develop their ideas together with the partners of
the Award.
At the
beginning of the ceremony the welcoming speech of Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy
Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation was delivered: "The
Award united talented representatives of the youth tourism sphere all over
Russia. More than 1200 works were submitted for consideration by the Expert
Council of the Award, the winners will be determined in 18 nominations. The
projects impress with their diversity and professional approach. It is
important that tourism is considered not only as recreation and entertainment,
but also as an educational component. Among the presented projects are career
guidance, ecological, patriotic, historical and cultural routes, unique
locations of the regions, unveiling their identity and traditions. I am sure
that all projects will be in demand, and Rosmolodezh together with the expert
community will continue to introduce us annually to programs and projects in
the field of youth tourism. Thanks to our joint work we reveal the uniqueness
of Russia and open new opportunities for useful travel around the country. Best

A special
project "More than a Region" was launched to encourage the
authorities in the field of youth policy and tourism of the subjects of our
country within the framework of the Award. It assessed the activity of regions
in the development of youth tourism, including together with the program
"More than a Trip". Applications were submitted by 54 subjects, of
which five were recognized as the best: Krasnoyarsk region, Tambov region,
Republic of Mordovia, Zaporozhye region and Kabardino-Balkar Republic. The
awards to their representatives were presented by the head of the Federal
Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) Ksenia Razuvaeva.
"A
huge thank you to everyone in the hall and to those who follow you and develop
youth and children's tourism! Today, thanks to you, teams of professionals from
our regions, traveling in Russia is about meanings, values, knowledge, pride
for your small and big Motherland. Contribution to the common cause is made by
representatives of the tourism business and, of course, our guides —
"guides of meanings", who in a new way familiarize the inhabitants of
the country with its vastness, history and culture, inspire the younger
generation to travel in Russia," she emphasized.
Among the
finalists of the award were projects of different formats: tour complexes and
art spaces, family festivals, media expeditions, tours with elements of career
guidance, inclusive trips, projects to create human resources potential in
science, innovation areas, etc.

The awards
were presented by representatives of partner organizations: International
Enogastronomic Centre (IEC), Youth and Student Tourism Program (Studturizm),
platform " Svoye Za Gorodom" (lit. "Your Own in the
Countryside") of Rosselkhozbank, Federation of Hospitality Revisors
(FEREGO), family community of the Movement of the First "Dear - Loved
Ones", team of creation and development of tourist locations
"Territories. RF", Federation of Sports Tourism of Russia (FSTR),
"Caucasus.RF", Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), MICE Market,
Federal Training Centre "Academy of Hospitality", movement
"Abilympics", Agency for Development of Domestic Tourism (Russian
Military Historical Society), Russian Geographical Society, Technopark "Skolkovo",
art-cluster "Tavrida" and Roszapovedcentre of the Ministry of Natural
Resources of Russia.
Within the
framework of the special prize "Choice of the First" from the
Movement of the First, the winner was determined by closed voting of the
Federal Council of the First - 89 children - participants from all regions of
the country, who were delegated by the decisions of the Councils of the
regional branches of the Movement. Young activists evaluated 72 projects of the
finalists — those in which children can participate. Creativity, originality
and relevance of the projects for the young generation were evaluated. The
project "Restaurant SheLESt", a finalist in the nomination "More
than a Taste", won.
On behalf
of the team of the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip", the
initiatives that touched the hearts of the organizers were awarded diplomas
"More than a Project": the project "We Don't Abandon Our Own!
#WEARETOGETHER" project and the "Run Faster" project.
During the
Award a popular vote was held for the projects in all nominations. The winner
of the voting in the nomination "More than an Idea" was the project
"Crocodile at School Walks Across the Country: a Board Game about the
Subjects of the Russian Federation". The people's choice prize was also
awarded to three projects that got the most votes among all nominations: the
travel show "Where the Eyes Aren't Looking" in the nomination
"More than Media", the family hiking project "Following the
Sun" in the nomination "More than a Hike" and the project
"Mendeleev Ecological Expedition" in the nomination "More than a
Tour: Ecology and Sustainable Development".
Within the
framework of the Award, the names of the winners of the contest "Guides of
Meanings", which was launched by the program "More than a Trip"
to select tour guides at the RUSSIA EXPO last year, were announced. On the
stage in the Home of Youth, three best tour guides, inclusive guides,
children's guides and guides-interpreters were awarded each — those who best
proved themselves during the months of work at VDNH with guests on excursion
routes.
The head of
the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip," Olesya Teterina,
addressed the best "guides" identified during the competition with a
congratulatory message. She also announced the launch of the second season of
the All-Russian competition "Guides of Meanings" for tour guides
developing original excursion routes: applications will be accepted starting
August 1.
The award
ceremony was hosted by TV presenter, journalist and blogger Irena Ponaroshku
and actor and TV presenter Ivan Chuikov. The final part of the event was a
concert by the band Cream Soda.
The
International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the most important achievements of the
country in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich
business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89
Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public
organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 18 million people have
already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place on
the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
At the National Centre RUSSIA, a panel pitching session titled "Investments in Technology" was held within the framework of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth".
The final panel pitching session for the "Investments in Connectivity" track took place on 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On the second day of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" the most remarkable essays submitted by authors in each track were presented.
