At the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA, one can see the most striking, picturesque natural and man-made sights of our country.

Some of the most photogenic places in Russia for summer photos are the Crimean Bridge, the ancient city of Chersonesos, the Ruskeala Mountain Park and the Baltic Sea coast.

The Crimean Bridge connects the Kerch and Taman peninsulas, which are part of the Southern Federal District, which is represented at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition.

The installation of this bridge is constantly changing — the sun is shining brightly, then it is getting dark, and sometimes a train passes there. This kind of interactive effect is carried out thanks to huge screens.

Especially beautiful photos are those which are taken during sunset, which can also be watched at the "Journey Across Russia" display.

The length of the Crimean Bridge is 19 km. It is the longest bridge in Russia and one of the largest ones in Europe.

The ancient city of Chersonesos is located on the territory of Sevastopol, which is part of the Southern Federal District, presented as part of the "Journey Across Russia" expo.

It was founded by Greek colonists in the 5th century BC, and became the most important commercial, political and cultural centre of the Northern Black Sea region. Arts, crafts, and philosophy flourished here, and its theaters and temples occupied leading positions in the region.

Against the background of Chersonesos, one will be able to take unusual photos full of the spirit of history.

The Ruskeala Mountain Park is located in Karelia, which is part of the Northwestern Federal District, and its expositions can be seen at the "Journey Across Russia" display.

The main point of this tourist destination is a marble quarry 500 by 100 meters in size. The extraction of marble went on actively until 1939. After the war, the restoration of the quarries began, but it was decided to leave the oldest of them as it was. It quickly filled with water, and as a result, a lake appeared, which became the hallmark of the park.

The photos taken in this location are fascinating — the picturesque marble cliffs are reflected in the greenish surface of the water.

The main pearl of the Kaliningrad Region, the Baltic Sea, can be seen in the display of the Northwest Federal District of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition.

Only two beaches in our country are marked by an international award — the Blue Flag. And they are both located on the Baltic Sea coast, not far from the village of Yantarny.

"This award is given to beaches and marinas that have the highest score on a certain scale. Infrastructure, water quality, ecology, and safety are taken into account. The Baltic Sea is famous for its changeable weather: locals take an umbrella with them, even if the sun is shining and there are no clouds in the sky. The sea usually does not warm up above 22-23 degrees even in summer. If, out of a sudden, its temperature is higher, then it can be considered a miracle," said Yanis Jacobsons, a tour guide at the National Centre RUSSIA.

Photos against the background of the Baltic Sea can turn out to be completely different, but no less beautiful, depending on whether its waters are calm, or a strong wind and storm are coming.

Admission to the display is free of charge as part of excursion groups, which are formed by prior registration on the website russia.ru in the "Events" section.
