The All-Russian classical music marathon "Cantata. Russia" united guests at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 12. Concerts were held simultaneously in 12 regions of the country on Russia Day. They became an embodiment of national pride and the continuity of musical traditions.

On stage, works by great Russian composers were performed by the State Symphony Orchestra "New Russia" conducted by People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet. The programme also featured Honoured Artist of Russia Ildar Abdrazakov and the Alexander Alexandrovich Yurlov State Academic Choir Capella of Russia conducted by People's Artist of Russia Gennady Dmitryak.

Guests of the National Centre RUSSIA shared their impressions.

"I have been involved with music for over 15 years; to attend such a concert in Moscow is a great gift. I am very happy that I made it here. What I remember most is the excerpt from the opera "Prince Igor"; it is one of my favourite works written by domestic composers," said Anastasia Rastilova

Alexei Taribunsky was struck by Ildar Abdrazakov's performance of the composition "Vdol po Piterskoy" ("Along the Piterskaya Street").

"I liked the selection of material, which was perfectly suited for this holiday. The artists are amazing. I am very glad to be here today," emphasised Alexei Taribunsky.

Anastasia Beskrovnaya was particularly moved by the moment when the world-renowned opera singer performed "Yo, Heave-ho" ("Song of the Volga Boatmen.")

"Then the entire hall fell silent, and everyone got goosebumps. It was an amazing concert. I would recommend everyone to attend such a performance at least once in their life, and, of course, at the National Centre RUSSIA," said Anastasia Beskrovnaya.

Olga Malysheva noted the immersive sound on the stage of the National Centre RUSSIA and the performance of the live orchestra.

"The performance of the anthem deeply touched me; I had goosebumps. The stars were magnificent, full of charm, and delighted us with their talent. Thank you to the National Centre RUSSIA for such an event," shared Olga Malysheva.

The All-Russian classical music marathon "Cantata. Russia" is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. It is organised by ANO "Creative Economy" and ANO "Cantata," with Lira Agency acting as the marathon operator.
