Almost one million guests visited the RUSSIA EXPO over five holiday days
Almost one million people visited the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH during five holiday days — from January 3 to 8.
Guests got acquainted with the whole of Russia and the achievements of Russian regions, ministries and major companies, visited interesting stands, listened to performances by famous Russian artists and took part in various masterclasses.
"Our exposition is about people. It is about unity, about our Motherland and about the fact that Russia's successes start with each of us. I am sure that after viewing the expositions, the guests have feelings of pride for our country, of belonging to the achievements. Our exposition is alive, we are not just standing still: more interesting events await our visitors. Thank you for visiting us!" — said Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» Natalia Virtuozova.
The RUSSIA EXPO reopened on January 3 after two technical days, during which the specialists updated the expositions and prepared to welcome young guests in the first place.
An extensive New Year program was prepared for children. For example, in Pavilion No. 2 Sber it was possible to join a masterclass on creating a New Year cartoon: children designed characters, worked out their personalities and dialogues, and then created animation on a special animation station.
A bright event of the exposition program is the festival Russian Winter, which is held in the best national traditions and images of fairy tales, emphasizing the unity of the peoples of Russia. In addition to games and masterclasses, the VDNH Equestrian Club hosts DJs, musicians and acrobats, as well as a multimedia show for guests. The festival events took place from January 5 to 8 and will continue from January 11 to 14. Every day guests of the festival can meet the fairytale Emelya, a character from the Russian folk tale At the Pike's Behest, and even take a ride with him on a real self-propelled Russian stove.
Also, these days there are grand parades of Ded Morozes for adults and children - the processions of winter wizards from different regions of the country, cultural and educational programs and masterclasses from the regions, as well as Ilya Averbukh's ice show The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.
On January 5, the four millionth guest visited the exposition. It was Daria Molodtsova from Tula. The girl received gifts from the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation: a certificate to visit the best wineries and vineyards of Russia and a tourist trip to the Krasnodar region. Daria will visit Krasnodar, Anapa, Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana together with her friends.
