Under the live ringing of bells through the rushniki gates — a new family was born at the RUSSIA EXPO
Meeting the newlyweds with bows and praising songs, the bride and groom passing through "gates" made of Russian folk rushniki towels — the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO witnessed a wedding ceremony in the traditions of the Yaroslavl region. The couple that got married were IT specialist Elisey Karpov and English teacher Anastasia Lelyukh.
Under the real bell ringing from the mobile bell tower the audience saw the symbolic "handing over" of the girl to her future husband, the ceremony of blessing of parents and the meeting of the young couple with the first family loaf. The special atmosphere of the holiday was created by the participants of folklore ensembles Zaryanka, Carousel and other artists of the region.
The right of the first congratulations and words of advice to the newlyweds was traditionally given to their parents.
"Love each other, protect, support throughout life. After all, life is an interweaving of sunny and cloudy days, so your happiness and well-being will depend on harmony and prudence, the ability to find ways out of conflicts and firmly withstand life’s difficulties. Do not let everyday trifles and trivialities spoil the main thing in your life — love and happiness. May yje harmony, faith and love be with you!" — said the bride’s mother Irina Lelyukh.
Deputy Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» Anastasia Zvyagina joined the congratulations.
"Thank you for sharing one of the most important events in your life with all of Russia. You are wonderful, beautiful and kind. May your life be as kind and beautiful. Thank you for showing us your ancient Yaroslavl, and at the same time modern Russian traditions. Always stay together, because you have no other choice, since you got married at the RUSSIA EXPO!" — she said.
The Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Yevrayev congratulated the couple in person: "You are a beautiful couple and, of course, I would like to wish you much happiness. And I would also like to say that you are brave people, because not everyone will agree to seal their union at the RUSSIA EXPO, and I think that such a quality as courage will be very useful to you in life".
The newlyweds received a lot of gifts — from the Government of the Yaroslavl region, manufacturers of the region, as well as from the RUSSIA EXPO Directorate. The spectators also received gifts — there was a drawing for hockey tickets, a certificate for a balloon flight in the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky, as well as a dinner in a restaurant in the village of Vyatskoye, Yaroslavl region, which is officially recognized as the most beautiful village in Russia.
The wedding ceremony ended with the first dance of the newlyweds under the "starry sky" made of flashlights of cell phones of the audience and a lively wedding dance flash mob.
Hosted festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Association of Indigenous Small-Numbered Peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East of the Russian Federation, and the 95th anniversary of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra.
The international campaign "Victory Dictation" took place in Moscow on April 25 across 497 venues.
Essayist participating in the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" took a guided tour of the interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia".
