A gift from the future by the National Centre RUSSIA
On 6 October, during the VTB United League 2025/2026 season match in Moscow, an event took place that highlighted the close connection between sport, culture, and national unity. The National Centre RUSSIA prepared gifts for the captains of two basketball teams — Moscow’s MBA-MAI and Krasnoyarsk’s Yenisey. The athletes received not only traditional merchandise from the Centre but also a real gift from the future.
The captain of the Moscow team MBA-MAI, Yevgeny Voronov, received a branded T-shirt featuring the logo of the National Centre RUSSIA. The gift was especially symbolic for the athlete, as just a few weeks earlier, on 28 September, his team had taken part in the festive opening of the new season of the professional basketball club MBA at the National Centre RUSSIA, where the players also visited the "Journey Across Russia" exposition.
"I was impressed by the venue. We had a wonderful tour. It’s amazing that such places are being created, where people can see the entire country and feel a connection to every region. And foreigners can see how beautiful, vast, and truly the best country in the world our country is," shared Yevgeny Voronov.
In turn, the National Centre RUSSIA prepared an unexpected greeting from the near future for the captain of Krasnoyarsk’s Yenisey. Forward Sergei Dolinin received a T-shirt with the logo of the Centre’s future branch, which will open in the Krasnoyarsk region. The logo’s design is unique: it is not just a graphic mark but a message in itself. Its foundation draws on the ancient Orkhon-Yenisey runic script, symbolising the historical legacy of Siberia, along with an artistic depiction of two fish — an interpretation of the ancient yin-yang symbol representing harmony.
