Supporting youth initiatives: presentation of the Caspian Forum was held at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the Republic of Dagestan Days
On 6 September, the presentation of the North Caucasus Youth
Educational Forum "Caspian 2025" took place at the National Centre
RUSSIA as part of the Republic of Dagestan Days at the exposition "Region2030. Platform of the Future".
This major forum is traditionally held in August in
Makhachkala on the coast of the Caspian Sea. Its main objectives are to create
conditions for youth self-realisation, build a professional community, and
support initiatives and projects. The presentation introduced the key
opportunities of the largest youth forum in the North Caucasus.
"The Caspian Forum has traditionally been held in the
republic since 2011. This event brings together the most active young people
not only from Dagestan and the North Caucasus, but from across the country.
Each year we welcome about 500 participants from more than 70 regions of Russia
and abroad. Last year, according to the Rosmolodezh rating, it was recognised
as the event of the year among district-level projects. This forum is the main
youth event of the republic. The themes change every year: in 2024 it was
dedicated to volunteering, this year to patriotism, as we mark the 80th
anniversary of Victory, and 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of
the Fatherland," said Kamil Saidov, Minister for Youth Affairs of the
Republic of Dagestan.
He added that the Caspian Forum hosts a competition where
young people can put forward their initiatives and receive grants of up to 1
million roubles for social projects. Teenagers and young people aged 14 to 35
can take part.
Visitors can register for guided tours of the exposition
"Region 2030. Platform of the Future", which features a stand of the
Republic of Dagestan, on the National Centre RUSSIA website russia.ru in the
"Events" section. Announcements of upcoming events are also available
there.
