The Kirov region's stand hosted the Day of Kirovo-Chepetsk, the second largest city after the regional capital Kirov, which celebrates its 650th anniversary this year.
Kirovo-Chepetsk presented its cultural, sport and tourist potential in the Pavilion No. 75 of VDNH. Interesting expositions, masterclasses, quizzes were prepared for the guests that day. Thus, everyone could take part in an interactive quiz "Legends of Kirovo-Chepetsk", play dice - riddles about the city's iconic places. The guests were offered to take part in masterclasses on making shower gel and shampoo, vine weaving and birch bark application, planting vegetable seeds.
Sports lovers were welcomed by a masterclass on hockey from hockey players of the sports club "Olympia" and a meeting with a native of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Russian hockey player, Master of Sports of International Class Yakov Rylov - one of the most effective Russian defensemen in the history of the KHL. By the way, the hockey player met his school teachers at the Exposition. Robot hockey, a game of hockey played by robots, was organized for the guests by the employees of the Kvantorium Technopark.
Visitors to the stand could also see a Biarmosuchus skull, which was found during excavations in Kirovo-Chepetsk, and feel like real archeologists - make "excavations" in wooden boxes, find blanks with the Chepetsk dinosaur there, paint the exhibit and take it away as a gift.
Folk and creative Kirovo-Chepetsk collectives performed for the visitors to the RUSSIA EXPO. Merited Artist of Russia Vladimir Starikov gave an interactive performance for the guests, and everyone could get an autograph of the famous clown. Members of the BRICS delegation unexpectedly became guests of Kirovo-Chepetsk Day at the RUSSIA EXPO; they came to meet the fairytale characters of the interactive program and received memorable gifts from the Chepchans.
