A different look at the native country — experts discuss educational tourism at the RUSSIA EXPO
The participants of the forum "More than a Trip" began to discuss the opportunities for young people to look at their native country from a new perspective with the help of tourism. The forum was launched at the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH and will last until November 16.
One and a half thousand people will take part in it — tour operators, organizers of hikes, representatives of authorities and others. Experts are trying to figure out how to promote educational tourism in the country, which will be actually beneficial. They discuss trips for the younger generation, who can better understand the culture of Russia through acquaintance with the landmarks.
"Activity tourism not only allows to acquire new knowledge, but also gives an opportunity to see the native country from a different angle: to better learn its culture, to get a feel for traditions and get acquainted with the residents, whose life differs significantly from region to region", — said Oleg Makarov, advisor of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
Round tables and workshops, as well as creative evenings, screenings of documentaries and thematic excursions are organized for the participants. In addition, everyone can support the residents of new regions of the Russian Federation and military personnel — bring gifts to a special basket in the space "Rosmolodezh. Kindness" This month books about the history of the country and its subjects are accepted.
It should be reminded that the International RUSSIA EXPO is held at the VDNH in Moscow. In addition to the achievements of all regions, ministries, state corporations and large companies, it hosts masterclasses, performances, meetings with celebrities, excursions and much more.
