See new movies and try on the role of an artist: Updated exposition of the Ministry of Culture
The first event at the renovated site was the awarding of the winners of the Soul of Russia Award. The exposition was examined by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.
"61 regions presented a variety of projects. We hope that this endeavor will continue in the future, and such a good and significant tradition will only develop", — said Olga Lyubimova, Head of the Ministry of Culture.
Seven interactive thematic zones were arranged in the renovated pavilion. Until the middle of January, the central exposition will be dedicated to New Year's Eve — the New Year Tree of Wishes was installed here. Later, it will be replaced by a Tree — a symbol of life, tradition and history; videos about cultural achievements and footage of the main bright cultural events of the year will also be constantly shown here.
In the Cinema zone you can watch feature, animated and documentary films, including the premieres of the past and the new year: By Pike's Will, The Bremen Musicians, Air, Kholop 2, The Master and Margarita, Ice 3, The Flying Ship and other films.
In the Theater/Ballet zone every visitor will be able to try on stage costumes or pointe shoes, and apply theatrical makeup with the help of makeup artists. And in the Classics zone anyone can ride on swings in a real garden with live musical accompaniment.
In the Fine Arts zone visitors can take part in the creation of a common picture, as well as in masterclasses on fine arts. And in the Literature zone next to the five-meter Book art object everyone can relax with a book in their hands.
Various masterclasses will be held in the Lecture Hall, for example, on drawing - from the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, on musical art — from the Academic Music School at the Moscow Conservatory. Discussions of new books, film guides, and lectures on the history and theory of Russian ballet will also be held here.
