Premiere of Marina Kim's documentary film "Azov of the Brain – 2" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On May 20, 2025, in the year of the 80th anniversary of
Victory, the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, and the third anniversary
of the liberation of Mariupol and the defeat of the neo-Nazi Azov regiment, the
National Centre RUSSIA will host the premiere of the second part of Marina
Kim's documentary film "Azov of the Brain." This film continues the
investigation into the ideology and crimes of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi formation
"Azov," which became a major event following the release of the first
part of the film in 2022.
The second part of the documentary includes interviews with
former Azov regiment fighters who are in Russian prisons. They confess to
crimes committed against civilians and Russian military personnel, accuse their
commanders of criminal orders, and express disappointment and despair. These
revelations become an important part of exposing the myth of the invincibility
of the banned regiment.
The premiere will be
attended by a member of the State Duma, author and producer of the film,
journalist Marina Kim, Director General of the news agency "Rossiya
Segodnya" Dmitry Kiselev, member of the State Duma, First Deputy Chairman
of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans "Combat
Brotherhood" Dmitry Sablin, political scientist, journalist, and author of
the book "Azov" Alexei Kochetkov, Scientific Director of the Russian
Military Historical Society Mikhail Myagkov, Deputy Minister of Defence, Head
of the Main Political and Military Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces
Viktor Goremykin, Director of the Information and Press Department of the
Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova, Commander of the Akhmat
Special Forces, Deputy Head of the Main Political and Military Directorate of
the Russian Armed Forces Apti Alaudinov.
The filming crew visited the prison in Donetsk's Yelenovka,
where members of the Azov regiment were held, and the film features exclusive
interviews with them. One of the key figures, Oleg Mudrak, a battalion
commander, in his final interview, renounced the command and the president of
Ukraine. After returning to Kyiv, a street was named after him. Among other key
figures are David Khimik and Frost, media figures from the Azov regiment.
Partners of the event include the Russian society Znanie,
the Russian Military Historical Society, and the All-Russian Public
Organization of Veterans "Combat Brotherhood."
General information partner: MIA "Rossiya
Segodnya." Information partners: "Moskovsky Komsomolets," the
