Presentation of the updated national travel portal Russia.travel
The updated national travel portal Russia.travel combined with the RussPass digital platform was presented at the RUSSIA EXPO.
"Thanks to the portal, regions and businesses can more actively promote their tourist products, manage tourist flows, diversify them. That is, create demand where and when it is needed. The portal is united with the infrastructure of Moscow’s RussPass digital platform. Moscow has excellent experience in the digitalization of the tourism industry, which can and should be replicated. Due to the integration we now have not just an information resource, but a tourist marketplace, where you can book a hotel or buy tickets for an event", — said Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.
The updated portal is a large-scale ecosystem for travel enthusiasts. Here everyone can learn about landmarks in different parts of the country and vacation options, plan a trip, book a hotel, buy a ticket to a museum or on excursions.
"The platform is open, so take into account that this is our common project and product, which we will actively share, and first of all, of course, we will share it with travelers — both domestic and foreign", — Maxim Reshetnikov added.
Yevgeny Kozlov, Chairman of the Committee on Tourism of the city of Moscow, emphasized that the updated resource will help in promoting tourist products to Russian regions, as well as businesses.
"Tourism is a teamwork. It is important that each player of our team, each region is fully represented in the digital space. We invite colleagues to cooperate in order to rediscover Russia’s huge tourism potential and inspire travel across it with our joint efforts", — emphasized Yevgeny Kozlov.
Mikhail Shumakov, Deputy Director General of the ANO National Priorities, noted that in 2024 the portal will have a schedule of events — a selection of festivals and colorful regional events that may be of interest to tourists. New options of routes and types of travel will be added: tourist trains, hiking and biking routes, proposals for fans of popular science and patriotic tourism.
"It is important not only to provide an opportunity to choose objects, but also to tell about it with high quality. To inspire people to travel. Our joint team, as well as the connection of ANO National Priorities allows us to get the most "delicious". Afterwards, it is very important to promote this content and for this we have all the resources and enormous experience", — said Mikhail Shumakov.
The project was implemented by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Government and ANO National Priorities.
