A delicacy with a thousand-year history will be presented by the Lipetsk region on the Day of the Region at the RUSSIA EXPO.

The Gingerbread Festival will present gingerbread according to author’s recipes from famous gingerbread masters of the region. Masterclasses, gingerbread tasting and tea drinking from samovar are waiting for the guests.

ZADONSKY GINGERBREAD. Handmade gingerbread dough is filled with Zadonsky honey, a mixture of spices and seasonings — cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, star anise, allspice and black pepper. The mixtures are made and ground in a bakery. For the filling they take the famous jam from Belyov in the Tula region, renowned for its pastila. Sergey Putilin, the founder of the "Zadonsky Krai" bakery, will present a specialty Zadonsky gingerbread.

DANKOVSKY GINGERBREAD according to the author’s recipe is made by custard method with carefully selected spices and Jerusalem artichoke syrup. The product will be presented by gingerbread master Natalia Alferova, bakery technologist and confectioner.

LIMAK — the aroma of these gingerbreads is familiar to everyone who visits the center of Lipetsk. Here, at the Lipetsk bakery, soft gingerbread for your tea party is baked — with apple and cranberry filling, mint, chocolate. Yulia Myakotnykh, manager of the Argamach Nature Park (Yeletsky district), will present LIMAK gingerbread.
