Thank you to everyone who has been with us over these five years and has proven that educating is a great mission," said Kirill Khvil, Deputy Director General of the Russian society Znanie.
The award in each nomination is a cube symbolising the essence of education in different fields. For example, the cube for the winners of the nomination "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Ecology and Tourism'" is made of transparent resin. Inside it is a three-dimensional composition featuring a mountain range, a forest and Lake Baikal, symbolising the beauty and grandeur of Russia’s nature. Laureates in the nomination "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Culture and Art'" will receive a marble cube — an ancient material used to create works of art. The cube for the winners of the nomination "For Educational Activities in an Educational Organisation" is made of green granite, symbolising the "granite of science".
