The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Federal Agency for Water Resources, Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, Federal Agency for Forestry, Federal Agency for Mineral Resources, Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resourcesand the Russian Environmental Operator presented a joint exposition in two pavilions: "Prirodograd" ("Naturecity") and "Prirodograd. City of Professions". The large-scale stand started its work on November 4 - the Day of National Unity.

"More than 80 thousand people work in our environmental block. Among them are ecologists and geologists, foresters and polar explorers, climatologists and meteorologists, hydrologists, inspectors, scientists of protected areas. Together we preserve and increase our national treasure - the richest natural heritage, we are proud of it and confidently continue to protect the nature of Russia", - said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko at the opening of the joint exposition.

The first event of "Prirodograd" was symbolic. The flag of the Russian Federation was raised live at the most extreme points where employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Natural Resources work. In the north it is the ice-resistant self-propelled platform "North Pole", in the south - the largest scientific base in Antarctica, Progress station, in the west - the national park "Curonian Spit" in the Kaliningrad region, and in the east - the Chukchi national park "Beringia".

"The Day of National Unity is a symbol of unity, courage and will of our people, who have never yielded to difficulties. We are responsible for Russia, for its present and future, for the preservation of its natural riches and careful attitude to the environment. This is our land, and we will always take care of it", - commented Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia.

The exposition of "Prirodograd" talks about environmental legislation, preservation of forests and water bodies, protection of flora and fauna, climate research, subsoil use, meteorology, elimination of unauthorized dumps, solid municipal waste management and much more. In "Prirodograd. City of Professions" everyone can grow their own digital tree or discover a deposit of precious metals in the interactive space of subsoil use, and the youngest visitors can try themselves as forest firefighters and observer pilots flying an airplane that causes artificial precipitation.

The united exposition "Prirodograd" will be waiting for visitors throughout the entire time of the International RUSSIA EXPO - until April 12, 2024. Entrance for visitors is free of charge.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place.
