The laureates of the IX All-Russian Choral Festival were awarded

The award ceremony for the festival laureates and the gala concert of the finalists took place at the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH in the Our Culture pavilion of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The All-Russian Choral Festival has been held annually since 2014 by the All-Russian Choral Society with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
In 2023, the IX All-Russian Choral Festival was held in 81 regions of the Russian Federation among academic choirs and was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninov.
More than 28,000 competitors from 1,115 academic children's and adult choirs took part in the qualifying stages throughout the year. 15 children's and 22 adult teams made it to the finals. The finalists of the festival performed in the gala concert program.
The Grand Prix of the All-Russian Choral Festival in the children's category was awarded to the Vesna music choir school named after A.S. Ponomarev (Moscow). Its head is by Averina Nadezhda Vladimirovna, professor, candidate of art history, honorary artist of Moscow. The Nizhny Novgorod Chamber Choir became a laureate in the adult group. It is headed by the artistic director and chief conductor, winner of the Nizhny Novgorod City Prize, Ivan Mikhailovich Stolnikov.
The awards to the festival winners were presented by the director of the All-Russian Choral Society Pavel Pozhigailo and the chairman of the festival jury, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Lev Kontorovich.
