"The space will live" — Natalia Virtuozova on the new National Centre RUSSIA
Today's world is changing rapidly, and therefore the country’s main space cannot be frozen in time. All zones of the new home of the National Centre RUSSIA have been designed as flexible and adaptive venues that can be easily transformed. This was stated by the Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova, to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, at the ceremony marking the start of construction of the space.
"We have made efforts to fit everything in in such a way that it corresponds to the goals of the National Centre, and so that every guest finds something interesting here, and finds an activity they enjoy. The space will live — it will not freeze; it will always reflect the pace at which the country itself lives," said Natalia Virtuozova.
The roof and multimedia façades will be able to change images and lighting depending on events. Inside, a 3500-seat transformable concert and congress hall will appear, designed to host events of many different formats.
This principle is also embedded in the branches of the National Centre RUSSIA being created in the regions. The character of the lighting will change depending on the season and the time of day, while the multimedia surface will allow various images to be displayed, adapting them to the ongoing events. For example, state symbols could be displayed on Russia Day.
In addition, the symbol of the new National Centre RUSSIA will be the image of a protective veil that shelters the country with love and safeguards people of different nationalities and religions.
The II International Forum of Wild-Harvest Processors and Superfood Producers has opened at the National Centre RUSSIA.
