Psychological portraits of Harry Potter characters at the "Legacy for the Future" exposition
On February
2, the international exposition "Legacy for the Future", featuring
works by young artists from Russia, China, India, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Iran,
will conclude at the National Centre RUSSIA. Many of these works transport
visitors to magical worlds, inviting them to see familiar things and phenomena
in a new light.
Yekaterina
Samoylova, a graduate of the Ilya Repin Saint Petersburg State Academy of Arts,
was born in the Leningrad region. The young artist has won numerous creative
competitions. Since 2022, she has been a member of the graphic arts creative
workshop at the Russian Academy of Arts in Moscow. At the "Legacy for the
Future" exposition, Yekaterina presented part of her graduation series of
easel works on the theme "Psychological Portraits of Characters from J.K.
Rowling's 'Harry Potter'." Created using lithography and acrylic
techniques, these portraits skillfully reveal the characters' personalities and
provide a glimpse into a different dimension of time and space.
For
example, the work "Tom Riddle in the Orphanage" uses white ink prints
on black paper to clearly convey the dark mood of this key villain from the
Harry Potter universe, which predominantly accompanied him on his difficult
path of growing up and formation.
Please note
that the second floor of the National Centre RUSSIA will be temporarily unavailable to visitors due to the exhibition changeover. However, cultural,
educational, and business programs will continue. All up-to-date information on
event dates and locations can be found on the website in the "Events"
section. Starting in February, the "Hall of Inventions" and
"Legacy for the Future" expositions will conclude. In March, after
installation and updates, the National Centre will open two new expositions: an
architectural one and "Journey Across Russia."
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
The second All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
