Radio electronics and high art: Mari El at the RUSSIA EXPO
How did Yoshkar-Ola make its way from a provincial place in Kazan governorate to a regional center?
The Republic of Mari El spoke about it at the RUSSIA EXPO.
The region is actively developing industry, agrarian sector, IT and education, culture and art, as well as many other areas. For example, the visitors were shown a project for the development of radio electronics in the republic - the production of microchips and printed circuit boards of increased accuracy class will be launched there.
One of the key projects is the construction of a new passenger terminal at Yoshkar-Ola airport. Thanks to it, it will be possible to serve more than 400 passengers per hour. This will increase the tourist and investment attractiveness of Mari El.
"Mari El has a lot to show and surprise its guests. Of course, these are national features, original culture of the Mari region, famous landmarks. Besides, at the exposition we presented our achievements in a variety of industries. I would like to note that we managed to implement many breakthrough projects with the support of the federal center", — said the head of the region Yuri Zaitsev.
In addition, the Mari State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Erik Sapaev regularly conducts tours in China. This theater became the second after the Mariinsky Theater to resume touring in China after the lifting of the COVID restrictions.
Local restaurateurs have prepared workshops and food tastings for the Day of the Region, while the cultural program included concerts by local artists. One of the main decorations of the Day was a traditional Mari wedding ceremony.
