A heart lit by the warmth of palms and a VR-trip across the Caucasus: regional expositions are undergoing major updates
The regional expositions of the RUSSIA EXPO, located in Pavilion No. 75, have been updated for the May holidays. Now even those guests who have already been here many times will find it interesting to stroll through the gallery of stands of the Russian regions.
The Tomsk region will show an animated comic about local history and invite to the table with multimedia screens, where you can not only read interesting facts about the region, but also play multiplayer naval combat. And in the center of the table there will be an emerald heart with pulsating illumination activated by palms touch — the more people will touch them simultaneously, the brighter the Tomsk heart will burn.
At the exposition of the Omsk region, visitors can now see a model of the newest isopropyl alcohol production plant, as well as study the practices of Omsk universities and shoot in a digital shooting gallery. The Novosibirsk region will attract guests with a panoramic movie theater and an interactive zone of the Siberian ring photon source.
The Irkutsk region added a new video projection on the floor of the photo zone, the Altai region placed a figure of one of its symbols - a Siberian stag — on the podium. A bookshelf with 160 books appeared at the stand of the Krasnoyarsk region. A model of a baby mammoth will appear in the mammoth zone at the exposition of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. And the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area will offer guests to try their hand at driving real sledges with video accompaniment.
The Sverdlovsk region will strengthen its exposition with a decorative zone "Green Urals" and a large map of the region with key settlements, supplemented with LED lighting. In turn, the stand of the Chelyabinsk region will feature watercolors depicting views of the Tagai National Park. A model of an ancient ichthyosaur can be admired at the exposition of the Ulyanovsk region, and the Zabaykalsky region will show its dinosaur. Meanwhile, the model of anti-aircraft missile system TOR-M2 will be available for study in the zone of the Udmurt Republic.
A whole set of interesting exhibits on local history will be presented by the Volgograd region. They include six showcases "Small Towns and Their Sights", the game "The Most Volgograd Street", the atlas "Discover the Volgograd Region", virtual excursions: "Flight over the Volga", "Alley of Heroes", interactive "Sights of the Volgograd Region".
It will be possible to admire a ship with a view of Sevastopol bay at the stand of the main city of Russian sailors. And the exposition of Zaporozhye region will focus on Melitopol cherry and will open the doors of a new photo zone dedicated to the legendary Zaporozhets.
The Lipetsk region will expand the number of its exhibits with a married couple made in the technique of Romanov toys, as well as a new sensory stand with children's interactive. Meanwhile, at the stand of the Kursk region it will be possible to listen to the trills of Kursk nightingales and immerse yourself in the exciting world of scents. An aviation simulator will operate at the exposition of the Leningrad region until May 20, then it will be replaced by a sports car and a beach photo zone.
VR-travel to the fascinating places of the Caucasus will be available at the stand of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. You will be able to feel like a cosmonaut in the display zone of the Smolensk region in a model of a spaceship. The Yaroslavl region will launch moving balloons at its exposition and present a model of the city embankment Strelka. And the models of Sakhalin Island will be available at the stand of the only island region of Russia.
The partners from among Russian ministries and agencies will also update their expositions. Thus, in the zone of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation it will be possible to visit Moscow transport infrastructure objects in VR-mode and play an interactive "construction of the future".
In addition, a plumbing-themed puzzle will be available here. And at the exposition of the Russian Central Bank, there will be a photo activity using artificial intelligence, which will provide visitors' photos with a unique design.
