The role of fathers in raising a healthy generation discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO
On January
20 at the International RUSSIA EXPO, as part of the educational program of the
All-Russian Family Forum Dear — Loved Ones, which opens the Year of the Family
at the Exposition, a discussion entitled By Example: The Role of Fathers in
Raising a Healthy Generation was held. The event was organized by the Russian
Society "Knowledge", the general partner of the RUSSIA EXPO
educational program.
"I
myself am a father of many children, a father of four children, a happy
grandfather. I have been happily married for more than 22 years. Union of
Fathers is more than 1 million fathers in 67 regions of Russia. This is an
organization that has no territorial boundaries, it is a multi-ethnic,
multi-confessional structure, which is united by one common word - "father".
We have united to make the world around our children more meaningful. Our
mission is to be able to listen to our own children," said Alexander
Zaremba, Executive Director of the All-Russian Public Organization Union of
Fathers of Russia.
He also emphasized
that it is extremely important for parents to be an example for their children,
to be the kind of people they want to look up to.
"Every
child wants to be like their parents. Now the Union of Fathers has a youth wing
- Sons of the Fatherland. We have not invented anything new; we just recalled
the good traditions of the Timur movement - helping the older generation, those
in need," said Alexander Zaremba.
According
to him, the Union of Fathers is part of the organizing committee of the Year of
the Family.
"We
will try to integrate our social projects in the target program set by our
President Vladimir Putin. I would also like to announce that the signing of an
agreement between the Movement of the First and the Union of Fathers will take
place within the framework of the forum. This is very important, as the work on
the territory of educational institutions will be maximally effective if we
join forces," said Alexander Zaremba.
Sergei Yursky and Natalia Tenyakova are a rare example of a couple who managed to preserve both love and creative partnership.
The workshop "Toy for the City" took place on July 4 at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the educational programme of the exposition "The Birth of Scale".
