"Russia will play a unifying role in the world": Maxim Oreshkin outlined the goals of the Open Dialogue held by the National Centre RUSSIA at SPIEF'25
Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that Russia will play a unifying role in the world, contributing to the joint movement of all countries forward. One of the tools for this will be the international Open Dialogue, which took place in April at the the National Centre RUSSIA, and will be an annual event.
"All the challenges that are now being thrown at humanity are of an existential nature. The President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, said that we live in an era of change that has not been seen for 100 years, and this is true. All formats aimed at solving global problems, and discussing them, are critically important. It is under this sign that the SPIEF is taking place this year," Maxim Oreshkin noted.
The tasks set by the National Centre RUSSIA echo Maxim Oreshkin's words. The National Centre RUSSIA should become a place capable of bringing together not only citizens of the country, but also representatives of different states to find solutions to global challenges.
Maxim Oreshkin stressed that the Open Dialogue is a new Russian initiative that has received a wide response at the international level.
"More than 100 countries participated in the first Open Dialogue held in Moscow in the spring. This format will now become permanent: Russia will gather independent experts from all over the world — those who really think about the future of humanity, the global economy and man in general," Maxim Oreshkin said.
Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, moderated the first session of SPIEF 2025, "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth." During this session the final report of the results of the Open Dialogue by the National Centre RUSSIA was presented. The session materials formed the basis for subsequent events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
