Russia as an example of sovereignty and a state model: journalists and bloggers discussed the multipolar world at the National Centre RUSSIA
An expert
discussion dedicated to the new world order was held at the National Centre
RUSSIA on May 20. Among the topics discussed by journalists and bloggers from
various countries were the transition towards a multipolar world, the image and
role of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin abroad, Russia’s
influence on processes in other countries, and the role of BRICS in the current
economic landscape. The discussion brought together opinion leaders from
European and Middle Eastern countries.
Thanks to
international cooperation, more and more people are discovering Russia and
falling in love with it, emphasised Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA Natalia Virtuozova.
"It is a great honour for us to host
foreign journalists, bloggers, and experts. We hope that you will return to
Russia more than once, bringing your loved ones and friends. More and more
people from different corners of the world are gathering at the National Centre
RUSSIA. International events are increasingly taking place here, one of the
most recent being 'Open Dialogue.' Today we are joined by friends from France,
Canada, Lebanon, Serbia, the United States, and Iraq. The diversity of
participating countries shows that Russia is an open, hospitable, and loving country,"
said Natalia Virtuozova.
Russia
today is an example for many countries, noted French expert Frank Pengam, head
of the analytical project GÉOPOLITIQUE PROFONDE and researcher of international
processes.
"Despite
the sanctions, the economic situation in Russia is flourishing. The entire
system that has been created in Russia is an example of sovereignty for the
whole world. In France today, there are many problems caused by the dominance
of the United States in the financial and technological spheres. Russia is
currently developing BRICS — this is important and contributes to strengthening
ties between countries and improving international trade. As representatives of
the media, we are trying to promote your media and your technological products
in our country. We would like to further develop your MIR payment system at
home. In France, we admire the systems that exist in Russia. And I hope that
you will help us — the French and other nations — to gain our
sovereignty," said Frank Pengam.
The geopolitical
situation in the world is changing rapidly, said French expert Milosh
Kostadinovich, editor of Informer Television and specialist in European
security issues.
"The
geopolitical situation in the world is changing day by day. The era of
dominance by a single power has come to an end. We are witnessing the growing
influence of China and Russia. I believe BRICS is an excellent initiative.
Russia and Serbia are brothers — our foundation is love for the homeland,
religion, and family. We are one people, united by courage. We trust Russia and
hope this will continue in the future," said Milosh Kostadinovich.
The image
and role of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin became a
separate track of the discussion.
"A new
era is beginning — a multipolar world. Power is being distributed among
countries. Russia and its allies play a significant role in this
transformation. More and more nations seek to be independent and not follow
only the West. Vladimir Putin is seen as a strong leader who defends his
country and supports other states. Putin has become a symbol of resistance to
Western hegemony. He stands for traditional values and the geopolitical balance
of power," said Rebecca Albir Samaan, correspondent of the leading
Lebanese TV channel Al Jadeed News.
Thanks to Russia and its actions, global changes are taking place all over the world, said French public and political figure, writer, director, and head of the Kontre Kulture publishing house Alain Soral.
"The
BRICS alliance under the leadership of Vladimir Putin can be described as a new
katechon. In my view, Vladimir Putin’s policy has a specific character. I
believe that a distinctive feature of his leadership is the aspiration for
universal reconciliation. Vladimir Putin strives to promote both traditional
and progressive aspirations," said Alain Soral.
Other
participants in the expert discussion included:
- Batoul
Abdallah — blogger and journalist covering Middle Eastern and global political
issues, Lebanon;
- Jackson
Hinkle — blogger and political commentator, USA;
- Zualfalkar
ash-Sharifi — correspondent for Al Ghad TV, focused on issues of conflict and
