The International RUSSIA EXPO has become one of Moscow’s main New Year venues. A lot of masterclasses, interactive programs and educational events will be interesting for the whole family. We will tell you about the main events that will take place during the New Year vacations.

Russian Winter Festival

The territory near the VDNH equestrian club will turn into «Lukomorye» and will leave unforgettable impressions of the New Year season. Each day of the Festival will be declared the day of one of the fairy tale characters — Baba Yaga, Snow Queen, Nutcracker and others. Guests will be treated to unusual activities, including riding on the stove and playing snowballs.

Ilya Averbukh’s New Year ice show The Nutcracker

The legendary ice show The Nutcracker will be held at the ice rink of VDNH. The fairy tale, without which it is difficult to imagine the New Year, will be supplemented with spectacular costumes and performed by some of the best figure skaters of Russia.

Date: January 6 — 8 and January 10 — 14.

Venue: VDNH skating rink, entrance — by VDNH skating rink tickets.

Masterclasses from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation

Everyone will have an opportunity to create a souvenir in the style of folk arts and crafts, grow a microcrystal and even try on the role of a scientist, and conduct several experiments using a digital laboratory.

Date: January 4; from 10:15 to 17:15.

Science Kid Day Festival and Science Yolka

Children have always been notable for their curiosity and desire to know the answers to even the most bizarre questions. Usually they satisfy their curiosity through their parents, but this time they will be guided into a wonderful world by real scientists. Children will be able to find out what the Universe is, where birds fly to, how people lived many years ago and even what clouds are made of.

Date: January 4 — 5; 12:00 — 17:30; January 6 — 7; 11:30 — 14:30.

New Year’s Science Show by professor Mikhailo

Everyone can plunge into the world of magic and science at the New Year’s show by professor Mikhailo. Visitors can expect amazing experiments, demonstrations of physical phenomena and interactivity that will strike the imagination of both children and adults. The show features a variety of chemical, physical phenomena and experiments.
