Starting November 7, the National Centre RUSSIA will launch free guided tours for visitors
The National Centre RUSSIA is organizing a unique tour program called "Inventing the Future." This route is an exciting journey that unveils the path from the bold ideas of great visionaries to actual technological achievements.
Starting November 7, anyone interested can sign up for the tours. It is possible to do it on the official National Centre RUSSIA website or join a group right at the centre itself. Tours will begin every 15 minutes from 10:00 to 19:15, and, like all events at the National Centre, they will be free of charge.
The tours will kick off in the "Library of the Future," where visitors will explore how writers like Jules Verne, Kir Bulychev, and others envisioned our world, while their predictions have inspired generations of scientists and inventors. Here visitors can discover which ideas have become reality and which are still waiting to come to life.
Next, in the Hall of Inventions, participants will see how the fantasies of these writers have been transformed into real technologies that are now essential to our lives. Guests will learn about the stories behind the creation of familiar devices and the impact of science fiction on technological development.
The tour concludes in the gallery, which showcases works by contemporary artists from Russia, China, Iran, India, Ethiopia, and Brazil. These artworks reflect the vision of the future, allowing us to see our world through the eyes of artists from different cultures and nations.
On July 1, 2024, President Vladimir Putin signed an order to establish the National Centre RUSSIA to preserve the legacy of the RUSSIA EXPO and showcase the country's achievements on a permanent basis.
From November 4 to 6, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the International Symposium "Inventing the Future." The participants will include scientists and researchers, futurologists and forecasters, science fiction writers, and representatives of the authorities.
The Symposium will become a unique international platform for open dialog, where the scenarios of human development and global challenges of our time will be discussed. The event will be attended by scientists, futurists, government and business representatives from 100 countries, including Austria, Argentina, India, China, Saudi Arabia, and others.
The Symposium program is published on the website future.russia.ru. Broadcasts of the events will also be available there during the days of the Symposium.
