"What does the Motherland begin with?": the Ryazan Region ranks among the six most active participants in nationwide survey
The Ryazan Region has ranked among the most active participants in the nationwide survey "What Does the Motherland Begin With?". The project was officially launched on 2 July at the National Centre RUSSIA during a press conference, where the preliminary results of the survey's first stage were presented. At the first stage, people across the country were invited to reflect on the origins of their love for the Motherland.
According to the organisers, the Ryazan Region is among the leading regions by the number of respondents. The six most active participating regions also include Moscow, the Moscow Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra and the Primorye Territory. More than 700 persons aged between 6 and 78 from 71 regions of Russia have already taken part in the survey. Participants include representatives of government authorities, public figures, scientists, entrepreneurs and cultural leaders.
Most respondents said that, for them, the Motherland begins with family, childhood memories and the natural landscapes of their native region. Other frequently mentioned responses included traditional values, well-being and the defence of the Motherland.
The survey has been conducted by the National Centre RUSSIA with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The project aims to preserve traditional values, strengthen the sense of national unity and foster an open dialogue among people of different generations and regions.
Anyone wishing to participate in the survey can do so either in person at the National Centre RUSSIA by recording a video interview or online by submitting a written response or a video message via the link on the official website.
The dolls have been specially produced for the festival and will be presented as commemorative gifts to every couple.
The National Centre RUSSIA branch in Yugra hosted a creative meeting with theatre and film actor, director and lecturer for the Russian society Znanie, Yegor Beroev.
Residents and visitors enjoyed 1,255 complimentary servings of fried potatoes, bibimbap and "Vlad Yam."
